Created
in 1987, DRG has partnered with more than 350 separate organizations
and institutions throughout the United States and Canada. Since
then, we have successfully conducted over 550 searches, representing
a high repeat client relationship rate of which we´re especially
proud. Founded solely to meet expanding needs for professional leadership
within mission-driven organizations, we continue to address the unique
challenges in the nonprofit sector. As a firm who embraces change,
we are constantly reviewing our own work and investing in training,
resources, and technology to meet our clients expectations, demands,
and challenges.
Our work
with human service agencies is a significant portion of our annual
search assignments. We have recruited CEOs and senior executives
for agencies providing services in the areas of children and families,
mental health, disabilities and the elderly. In 1992, we were selected
by the Child Welfare League of America (CWLA) to develop executive
search services for their 1,100 member agencies across the country. DRG
directed CWLA´s searches for eight years. This unique partnership
extended our services to include recruiting CEOs and senior managers
for children´s service and human service agencies across the
United States. Our executive search consultants who have worked with
CWLA-DRG searches have expertise in child welfare and human service
management and are well connected to the professional networks in the
field.
Right
from the start, we embraced computer technology, and over the years
we have significantly updated our technology and network to enable
us to easily track candidates´ careers, communicate effectively
with clients, and automate our business functions.
However,
the key to our success has undoubtedly been the high caliber consultants
and associates we have attracted to our Group and retained over
the years. All DRG consultants have noteworthy nonprofit backgrounds.
All consultants subscribe to DRG´s participatory work style
where they meet weekly to review and strategize current assignments
and to discuss ideas for new methods, techniques, and trends. Although
consultants manage their own assignments, they also contribute toward
the team concept of helping all of DRG´s clients find the
professional leadership that will successfully move them through
change and toward achieving new goals.
The
firm´s principals encourage personal learning, growth, and
volunteer involvement with nonprofit associations. Through in-house
training, seminars, and workshops, DRG consultants continue to build
their consulting skills that increasingly add to our firm´s
collective insight and knowledge bank.
And
what about the future? The "business" of leading nonprofit organizations
has become increasingly sophisticated, complex, and challenging.
And we relish the challenges. We have an outstanding team of nonprofit
consultants and the latest technology to serve our clients. In these
changing times, the need to go the extra mile has never been more
important, and we´re fully prepared to travel the distance.
